The New Mutants is a scifi horror which had delayed for a long while. You have the protagonist Danni living on a Native American reservation. When something attacks. Forward to this facility where she is being held. A few young people with powers also live here. You have one scientist keeping a watchful eye over them. I wasn't too bothered about the blossoming relationship between her and another character. Just found it tiresome. I didn't like one of the characters. Good music and special effects. You may want to look into the Mutants. I am interested in the filming location. I will look at trivia. Blu Hunt, Anya Taylor Joy, Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton, Henry Zaga, Alice Braga. Marilyn Manson was used for this film. Mark Snow is the composer. You may have seen Glass.
Tenet is a film that I watched at Cineworld. Starring John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Kenneth Branagh. Directed by Christopher Nolan. Scifi thriller. There is a lot to unpack. You try and figure out what is going on. I like the concept. I will look at theories and discussions. Expect twists. Clever filmmaking. Great actors, effects and editing. Usually loud in the cinema. Some guy was on his phone in the beginning and a, lady asked him to switch it off. If you enjoyed Bourne or Bond films then you should see this. The Protagonist is a special agent. He is on a mission. They want to prevent WW3. A weapons dealer had got hold of something valuable. He teams up with Neil to see what he can find. The dealer's wife is an art dealer. She is in this unhappy relationship. Some experiments had been run and they discovered a way to manipulate time. I am interested in this type of thing. I have noticed how handsome Robert is. The music does overwhelm the dialogue at some point. Anyhow make sure that you watch it.
I watched Ready Or Not. A horror comedy. Gory violence. Good special effects and a great cast of actors. I only saw a minute of the trailer and decided that I wanted to see this. Pretty women. Samara does remind me of Margot Robbie. Interesting filming location. I have worked in venues like that. Imagine it like Downton Abbey meets The Purge. Grace has just married Alex. His family are very rich. On the wedding night there is a family custom where the newcomer must play a game. Unfortunately it is Hide And Seek. Grace must survive the night. Nice soundtrack. You should see this.
Cast:
Samara Weaving as Grace Le Domas, Alex's young bride and wife
Adam Brody as Daniel Le Domas, Emilie and Alex's alcoholic brother, Charity's husband, Tony and Becky's son, and Helene and Charles' nephew
Etienne Kellici as young Daniel Le Domas
Mark O'Brien as Alex Le Domas, Grace's husband, Daniel and Emilie's brother, Helene and Charles' nephew, and Tony and Becky's son

Henry Czerny as Tony Le Domas, Daniel, Emilie and Alex's father, and Becky's husband
Andie MacDowell as Becky Le Domas, Daniel, Emilie and Alex's mother, and Tony's wife
Kate Ziegler as young Becky Le Domas
Melanie Scrofano as Emilie Le Domas-Bradley, Daniel and Alex's cocaine-addicted sister, Fitch's wife, Georgie and Gabe's mother, Tony and Becky's daughter, and Helene and Charles' niece
Kristian Bruun as Fitch Bradley, Emilie's husband, and Georgie's and Gabe's father
Elyse Levesque as Charity Le Domas, Daniel's wife
Nicky Guadagni as Helene Le Domas, Daniel, Emile and Alex's aunt, and Charles' wife
Elana Dunkelman as young Helene Le Domas
John Ralston as Stevens, the Le Domas family butler
The Hunt is a satirical horror movie by Blumhouse Productions. Was to be released last year but there was controversy. A handle of strangers have been taken a venue and they will be hunted by their captors. The protagonist has a particular set of skills. If you like Ready Or Not, The Purge, Hostel, Saw, John Wick, Antebellum, Get Out then this is for you. I have met one of the cast back in 2011. Betty Gilpin, Emma Roberts, Ethan Suplee, Hilary Swank. Looking at the actors I was trying to figure out who the protagonist was. Liberals, conservatives, elite or working class. This film may trigger some and entertain others. I was trying to figure out the mannerisms and facial expressions of one actress. The soundtrack is good.
Bill and Ted face the music
It is the third and final instalment. Bringing some of the old cast together. There are cringeworthy moments. Whether the cast are trying too hard, some of the well known musicians from history or the two daughters. It is an entertaining film. I recommend that you see the old ones. Present day San Dimas. Bill and Ted are middle aged family men. They hadn't written the song that would unite mankind. All of reality is at stake. The guys will try and find a solution with use of the booth. I see some recasts. The princesses would be the same age but they are played by younger actors. Good special effects. Nice location. The daughters are pretty. The film is on streaming services but should get a cinema release later. Cast
I have just watched Coma. A Russian film with English dub. Scifi. If you like The Matrix and Inception then this is for you. A young architect is in a coma after being in a car accident. He awakes in a strange new world. Stunning visual effects. There he meets a handful of survivors. There a these monsters called Reapers. There is a nice twist. He wants to try to get back to the real world. Worth checking out.
I watched a scifi horror named Shifter. For some reason I felt that I had seen it before. Released early this year. Theresa is single woman living on a farm. She works at the local factory. She is awkward, annoying when with her cat. Plenty of vomit scenes which I could have done without. She had built a time machine. Uses to travel to the past. But things have gone wrong. She desperately tries to figure out a solution. The effects aren't bad. Minimal cast in this indie flick. Director: Jacob Burns
Screenplay: Jacob Burns
Cast: Paul T. Taylor, Nicole Fancher, Katy Atkinson, Jacob Snovel, Leesa Neidel, more
Producers: Zach Burns, Vinnie Hogan.
I recognised the actress playing the friendly neighbour. She was the con artist in season one of Friends. You also might like Primer.
Get the title track I have just watched Boss Level A scifi film starring Frank Grillo, Mel Gibson, Naomi Watts, Michelle Yeoh, Ken Jeong, Annabelle Wallis. A fair few hot women. Nice action and comedic scenes. I like the scifi element especially. A special ops officer is stuck in a time loop on the day of his death. So he is going to try to survive the onslaught of assassins headed his way. If you like Happy Death Day and John Wick then this is for you. Frank is in great shape. This is now showing on Hulu.
Captain Marvel
8/3/2019
It is the first showing at the Odeon in Loughborough. The two ladies working at the kiosk are hot. One that did the popcorn. Both are teens, blonde. I arrived early. I could have gone to the 1pm showing at Cineworld. I paid £9. £2.50 for a ticket. The deal was £8.50 where you pay for the film, large drink and popcorn. 50p extra for Ice Blast. F10 is my seat. No WiFi in the room. Some men were triggered by the film even before seeing it. There was this annoying teen that could be overheard the end credits.
Spectacular film. Great cast of actors which include Brie Larson, Samuel L Jackson, Jude Law, Annette Benning, Lee Pace, Gemma Chan. Brie did look hot. I think that people will be rooting for her character. It will have an impact on young girls like Frozen, Wonder Woman, Spice Girls, Doctor Who did. Nice nods to previous films and to the 90s, which it is set in. I was a teen during that decade. A final cameo by Stan Lee. The Marvel Logo tribute is awesome. Carol Dancers aka Vers is on the Kree planet Hala. She had been training for a war with the Skrulls. See IMDb for trivia. Whilst on a mission to rescue a spy. She is taken onboard a ship. There is a power core that everyone is after. She lands on Earth where she meets Agent Coulson and Fury. She needs to find the scientist behind the machine. Good fight scenes. Expect the usual comedy. Also a lot is mentioned in the trailer. There are twists and surprises. This film leads up to Endgame. So different to other films. You will like the soundtrack. Take a look at the Amazon ads. I had never read the Captain Marvel comics. Mar-Vell is a good nod to Marvel. I knew that Goose the cat will play a big role. It also answers as to how Nick Fury lost his eye. Ignore the critics and go watch this film. It is International Women's Day.
Spider Man Homecoming starring Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr, Marissa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Chris Evans, Zendaya. Great acting and effects. Good humour and action. Peter is trying to track down a band of criminals. They have used the alien tech from the Avengers films. He is currently in high school. Abit of a origin story. Independent adventure. New characters are introduced. There are easter eggs. Some the characters have big mouths. Interesting theme song.
I went to Cineworld Loughborough to see Avengers Infinity War. It was showing at 7pm. Obviously there would be ads and trailers. If was busy. The ticket machines were occupied. £6.50 for an adult. £7 for regular salty popcorn and Pepsi Max. It was busy. I was in Screen 4. There wasn't much choice in seating as most were booked up. I had an awkward one C6. Near to the screen and at an angle. Strain on my neck and eyes. A long film. Over 2 hours I estimated. Carries on from where Ragnarok left off. Plenty of action, swearing, violence, humour and special effects. It is darker than the previous films. Blows Justice League out of the water. Thanos is after the remaining Infinity Stones. Each controls an element. There are many characters from the Marvel universe. Lots of locations. The Guardians and Avengers want to stop Thanos and save the world. Not everyone will make it out alive. Surprised at how it pans out. I recommend that you go see it. I will watch it again on DVD sometime. The post credit scene is short. See my Coheed And Cambria - Welcome Home post for other comic book films. Excellent cast: Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Josh Brolin, Karen Gillan, Samuel L Jackson, Don't Cheadle, Chris Pratt, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Benedict Wong, Pom Klementieff, Bradley Cooper.
I rented Thor Ragnarok. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Karl Urban, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Mark Ruffalo, Tessa Thompson, Benedict Cumberbatch. I was impressed with the trailer. Nice soundtrack and a different theme to previous Marvel films. Impressive special effects. A funny film from the off set. There is a character called Korg that has really good dialogue. Voiced by Taika Waititi. See more of Hulk. Great banter between characters. Take a look the reaction videos once you have seen the film. Hela hath no fury like a woman scorned. Asgard is in mortal danger. On another realm The Grandmaster is holding a tournament. I like this the best out of the trilogy. This film leads onto Infinity War. I recommend that you see this.
Deadpool 2 starring Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, TJ Miller, Brianna Hilderbrand, Jack Kesy, Terry Crews amongst a star studded cast. The menu screen had a montage with Aha - Take On Me playing. It is in a vhs format. Plenty of violence, humour and pop culture references. The fourth wall breaking anti-hero is back. He is joined by his X-force. Old characters and new are included. It was an amusing film. The opening credits were like a James Bond film. The post credits scenes are good. Wade has been searching for a villain. He makes his way through the henchmen and the boss swears his revenge. Meanwhile you have a teenage mutant named Firefist. He is in an orphanage where they do experiments. He has caused mayhem already. You have Cable. Part man part machine. A guy you don't want to mess with. He is from the future and looking for someone. Domino is hot as are Nagasake Teenage Warhead and Vanessa. Expect cameos. Nice soundtrack. Deadpool really has his work cut out. They have upped the ante. Ryan Reynolds also works behind the scenes as he did with the first film. Venom is out in cinemas next month. New Mutants, Dark Phoenix, Captain Marvel, Avengers 4 are yet to be released. There are extras on this DVD. There are surprising scenes. Dupinder should have been used a lot more. Is he just some comedic Asian stereotype for everyone to laugh at? It's not Van Wilder again. Cert 15. Hugh Jackman quote on the cover. I will look at discussions and reactions.

Antman And The Wasp
Funny start at Scott's house with his daughter. Michelle Pfeiffer plays Hope's mother and she was lost to the Quantum Realm. There is a plan to bring her back. You might check out the soundtrack. Hank, Hope and some regular cast are back. Funny scenes and great special effects. Sonny is a business man dealing with the black market. A person in a white costume turns up. Has special powers. There is Bill Foster a former partner at Shield. Luis and his two associates are superb. I like the truth serum scene. Ava is pretty as is Hope. Fab ending credits.
X-MEN Apocalypse. Pretty violent in the beginning. Spectacular effects. Starts off in Ancient Egypt then moves onto the 80s. Introducing more characters. The lady with the sword Sara is hot. As is Storm. Epic rescue by Quicksilver. Talking from the other room when I am tying to listen to the dialogue. Great cast especially Oscar Isaac. Cert 12. I remember the Sky ad. Good soundtrack.
Olivia Munn, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Lucas Till, Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Rose Byrne, Nicholas Hoult. Unexpected end credits scene. Bonus is a gag reel, commentary, easter egg, gallery.
Starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B Jordan, Jamie Bell and Toby Kebbel. A nice alternative origin story to the previous film series. Victor Von Doom is a real bad ass. The team run by Franklin Storm are working on a teleportation system. The teens venture to the other dimension and that's where they gain their power. A Marvel Studios 2015"! release. No mid credits scene. Good special effects, acting and story. Worth checking out. I like the soundtrack which I shall download.
fantastic 4
I was unsure about the film when the trailer came out. I don't read comics or watch animation like I did as a teen. I have been watching Marvel films so I gave it a try. Spectular animation. You will like the graphics. A varied soundtrack. I like the opening where they reference the live action films. I can imagine the cinema audience reaction. Miles Morales is biracial. Mix of black and Mexican. He lives in New York. He is sent to a private school. Some of the women are hot. Gwen, MJ and Miles's mum. Embarrassing scenes occur. This is an origin story crossover event. See how he gained his powers. His uncle takes him to the subway to do graffiti. I assume it's the one Donald Glover played in Homecoming. Meanwhile Peter Parker is battling the Green Goblin. He is huge BTW. As is Kingpin. A machine is being operated which opens a portal to the multiverse. Each Spider person is in a different style of comic. Good use of effects. It might trigger someone's epilepsy. Gwen Stacey is a hero, Manga style Peni is a Japanese girl with a robot. Peter Parker from another dimension is dragged into this mess. Spider-Ham is more WB style cartoon character. Then you have Spiderman Noir who would fit in with Batman comics. The longer the others stay in this universe. The more harm will come to them. Kingpin wants to restart the experiment. The team must get home and someone will have to destroy the machine before it ruins the city. Good humour. Stan Lee cameo was a surprise. Great acting. It is worth checking out. Far From Home is out next year. Click on the ads and search vox to see what else there is.
I went to the cinema to watch Spiderman Far From Home. The sequel to Homecoming. It follows on after the events of Endgame. Tom Holland, Jake Gyllenhaal, Zendaya, Samuel L Jackson, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei. Jacob Batalon, Cobie Smulders. Great acting, action and special effects. Liked the end credits design. After the loss of Iron Man, Vision, Black Widow and Captain America people are trying to adjust to their new lives. The Blip happened. People were returned to the land of the living. Never having aged. The world had moved on. Peter has a few things that he would like to tell MJ. The college is organising a trip to Europe. A new threat has come to wreak havoc. A stranger named Mysterio has come to the rescue. Expect humour. There are post and mid credit scenes. Good soundtrack. More Marvel films are planned. I was fascinated by some of the tourist attractions. I think the audience will visit Europe. I recognised a British actress that I saw on Alan Partridge. I wasn't sure about the film at first but eventually got to see it. I recommend that you do. Please visit the ads. Share this blog.
