I watched a scifi action film called Spectral. A Netflix original. The American military have gone to Europe. There is a scientist and tech specialist in Virginia. He is recruited to help the soldiers. Around the city there are these ghostly beings. One touch will kill a man. It is an interesting concept. Having watched till the end I like the origin of the creatures. Largely an unknown cast. Good soundtrack and effects. Worth taking a look. IMDb

   Netflix and chill I decided to watch Extinction starring Michael Pena and Lizzy Caplan. It's an alien invasion movie. Scifi. On Netflix. It is quite dark with the night shots. It's the problem on this TV or Netflix in general. A man had been having visions. He has a wife and two daughters. The youngest is annoying, gets them in trouble. Just leave her to the aliens. The aliens arrive. It is brutal. The soldiers are on the ground. Exterminating the humans. Nice twist. Set in the far future.

Today my beautiful, brilliant mother turns 64. Mom came to the United States from the Dominican Republic on her own as a teenager. She taught herself English, got herself into art school, then NYU and Columbia university, graduating top of her class with honors. She became a teacher but stopped when I was born to raise me full time, and, thirteen years later, raise my brother. She made childhood a wonderland full of magic, fun, opportunity, creativity, precious memories, soul-nourishing food, and love. When we grew up she went back to work in early childhood education and development. This year, at the age of sixty three, my mother got her PHD, becoming Dr. Berta Carela (aka Dr. Mama). I am truly in awe of my mother’s strength, resilience, brilliance, grace, and gentle, sprite-like spirit, which has only continued to blossom despite the challenges she has endured. It was pointless being open. One colleague asked these young students to wait outside as there was a max limit of people within the store. I heard the girl say to her friend "that was rude" A pensioner coughed and a blonde woman walking past made a comment. The OAP asked her not to be rude. I was serving a lady and the elderly gentleman stood close to her. She stepped away from him making some comments. My other colleague was hoping some people outside would get the coronavirus. A customer was being served. Some people are buying over the limit. A pensioner thought it ridiculous that he had to wait outside. Well there is the virus and socially distancing. A man tried to get 4 paracetamol and there is a sign saying 1 only.

There at work on Friday. There are signs that say 1 per customer. This ginger haired man gets two. I tell him and like a twat he gestures at the shelf that there is so many there. I ended up serving him. It was beside the point he was making. Some had two handwash which I had already put through and a lady got two baby wipes. Do people not read?  The door could be locked with a sign saying 10am opening time and people can't read. A sign for the paracetamol had gone up from 25p to 29p. I rang for management. My colleague asks "did you just ring for management because of a void?" No one asked you and I don't need to explain myself. Her gay friend seems a nob. "Felt like I waited a lifetime" further comments about social distancing. Well there was a max limit of customers. So there are rules now due to the coronavirus. She was meant to be working the delivery. Car did not work. Couldn't get hold of an uber or taxi. Would take 45 mins to walk here in the dark. She could be on her own. We would finish anyway. The assistant manager was having some joke and would take her time when I needed things to be done as did some customers and workmen. Someone should have been watching the door as I had customers to serve. So would have swept and mopped the store but didn't. A guy bought two Lemsip and a Beecham's after I had limited him to 1 pack of paracetamol. I should have been consistent. FML. We were heading for the door. We were closed. Signed out. Colleague unlocked the door as the alarm would be set and we had two people there asking if we were open. I've got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one.

Well I tried to do abit of DIY. Attempted to go up the three part ladder that reaches to the gutter. Almost getting to the top. Always seemed that I could fall and it didn't seem sturdy. That might just be me. Self consciousness and embarrassment got to me. However my brother calls and says that he'll give me a hand with it. I am still going up the ladder. There is a storm making its way on Sunday and the gutter needs to be dry to be worked on. So I expect more leaking. The items I bought: 3663602910510 ladder, 50600382231176 roof trade sealant black. 

 There is that Logic Combi 30 boiler that continues to go to F2 and L2. Several times it has to be resetted. The engineers come and go but the problem remains.
